Boy, 11, suffers 'life-threatening injuries' after being hit by car
An 11-year-old boy has been left with "life-threatening injuries" after being hit by a car. The collision happened on Wrexham Road in Chester on Tuesday evening, and involved a grey Nissan Qashqai and the pedestrian.
The pedestrian, an 11-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries in the crash, which happened at around 5.12pm, and was treated at the scene before being taken to Alder Hey hospital for further treatment. His injuries are thought to be life-threatening, say the force.
The driver of the Nissan, a 28-year-old woman from Wrexham, was not injured during the incident. No arrests have been made.

Cheshire Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information or CCTV footage to come forward. Inspector Anton Sullivan, of the Constabulary's Roads and Crime Unit, said: "I understand that this is a considerably distressing incident and our thoughts remain with the victim’s family.
"As part of our enquiries to establish the circumstances that led up to the collision, we are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any information about it, to please contact us. The same goes for anyone who may have captured the incident on dashcam or on CCTV."
