Boy, 13, charged with disorder in Bacup town centre

A teenager has been charged with disorder after an incident in Bacup.

On August 20, Rossendale Police were made aware of reports involving large groups of youths in the town centre. Attending the scene, officers were met with threatening behaviour and abusive language.

Eight days later on August 28, police arrested a 13-year-old boy from Bacup on suspicion of affray and a Section 4 Public Order.

He has since been charged with Section 4 Public order and has been bailed with conditions. The teenager will appear at Preston Youth Court on December 5.
