Boy, 15, arrested after stabbing at Milton Keynes school

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after another pupil was stabbed in the back at a school in Milton Keynes.

The teenager is suspected of grievous bodily harm after the 14-year-old boy suffered what police called a "small puncture wound to his back" at the Stantonbury International School.

There was no confirmation about the weapon used but the school said it was not a knife attack.

A statement from the school said that the victim was given first aid and was not seriously hurt.

It said everyone in the school was safe and lessons continued as normal after the incident.

Thames Valley Police confirmed they had been called just before 11am.

Superintendent Marc Tarbit said: "Officers are on scene and we are working closely with the school to offer support to them and pupils and parents at the school.

"Members of the public can expect to see an increased police presence whilst our inquiries continue."
