Boy, 17, pleads guilty to brutally murdering teenager in the street with 'Rambo' knife
A teenage boy has admitted stabbing an 18-year-old man to death with a ‘Rambo’ knife as he walked to the gym.
Hazrat Umar was knifed 15 times, including once through the heart, in a frenzied attack which happened in broad daylight.
The man was walking to his local gym in Bordesley Green, Birmingham, at 2pm on February 25 when he was stabbed and fell to the ground.
Mr Umar lay on the floor bleeding while the killer stamped on him before fleeing the scene.
A passerby dialled 999 and paramedics dashed to the scene but he was pronounced dead.
The court heard that after the murder, the teenager approached a member of the public and asked for water to wash his victim’s blood from his hands.
A postmortem examination revealed that Mr Umar was stabbed 15 times but was killed by one fatal stab wound to his heart.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named, admitted murder on the fourth day of his trial at Birmingham Crown Court.
Detective Inspector Michelle Allen of West Midlands Police said: “This was a tragic case where a young man lost his life in the most brutal way and highlights the shocking reality of teenagers carrying knives.
“A young boy felt the need to arm himself with a deadly weapon and used it to viciously attack another teenager.
“Hazrat sadly died that day and the defendant will face years behind bars, proving that there are no winners of knife crime.
“His family will never be able to come to terms with what happened that day, but I hope that this outcome will provide them with some comfort.”
The teenager is due to be sentenced on Friday.
