Boy, 3, Crushed Between Two Parked Cars

A three-year-old boy has suffered life-threatening injuries after being crushed between two cars on holiday.

The toddler was seriously injured when one of the vehicles rolled and trapped him in a private car park in Bodmin, Cornwall.

The boy is in a serious condition at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, having been transferred there from Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, Devon.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the boy, who has not been named and is from London, was on a family holiday when the accident happened on 22 May.

Witnesses to the incident are being asked to come forward.

A police spokesman said: "At around 6pm police received a report from ambulance crew that they were treating the boy on the outskirts of Bodmin.

"The child is thought to have been crushed between two parked cars, one of which rolled, in a private car park in the Glynn area of Bodmin.

"The boy, from London, was taken to Derriford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

"He was later transferred to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol where he remains in a serious condition."
