Boy, 6, Somehow Got Stuck At The Top Of This 50ft Tree

Climbing trees is a major part of childhood - but this young boy managed to climb so high that he got stuck right at the top.

The six-year-old sat right at the top of the 50ft tree in the garden of his home is North Carolina, terrified as he realised he couldn’t get back down again.

His poor mother tried to convince him to make the trek back down to the ground but the boy was too scared to make a move.

Faison firefighters were called who quickly set about rescuing the lad from his scary situation.

Fire Chief Rodney Lambert quickly realised that their ladders were too short and the ground too soft for a truck to driver up to the tree.

He told Huffington Post: “What ended up happening is, we contacted a local electrical company that had a boom truck, like you use to work on power lines.”

An hour and a half later and the boy was finally rescued.

Chief Lambert added: “He was just scared, not hurt or anything…

“He was just playing. That’s not the first time that he’s climbed that tree.

“It’s just the first time he’s gotten stuck.”

And probably the last.
