Boy, 8, on scooter seriously injured in hit and run crash

AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD boy has been seriously injured in a hit and run crash.

Emergency services were called to the crash in New Church Road, Hove, at about 9.10pm on Friday, July 1.

Police said the collision involved a child on a scooter and a car, which left the scene.

“The eight-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries, while the white vehicle involved left the scene,” a police spokesman said.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash at the junction with Pembroke Gardens, Hove.
