Boy Accused Of Attempted Murder After Stabbing

A boy has appeared in court accused of attempted murder after two teenagers were stabbed at a school in southeast London.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is also accused of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

It follows an incident at Kingsdale Foundation School in Alleyn Park, Dulwich, on Thursday.

The boy sat beside his mother after being allowed out of the dock for the brief hearing at Camberwell Magistrates' Court in southeast London.

He put his head on his arm and appeared to start crying as his bail application was refused.

He was remanded in youth detention accommodation.

One of the boys was left in a critical condition, while the other was taken to hospital and later released after suffering minor injuries.

The incident happened shortly before 3.30pm and pupils were kept inside as emergency services handled the situation.

The school reopened on Friday.

The accused will next appear in court on 18 December.
