Boy in Alder Hey Children's Hospital with serious injuries after being hit by car in Winsford
A 12-year-old boy is in Alder Hey Children's Hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Winsford. The incident occurred around 5pm on on Friday, November 15, on Dene Drive outside the Farmfoods store.
Members of the public rushed to the boy's aid after he was hit by a white Citreon C1 and was badly injured. One woman on the scene described how numerous people helped the boy while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
She said: "I was one of the first person there with the young boy. A lady put her scarf there to help with the bleeding while I was on the phone to ambulance service - never seen anything like it in my life.

"Was there the whole time. I tried my best and followed every step from the ambulance service. I'm broken. I seen it all and was so sad. I really hope the young boy is OK."
The child was taken to the children's hospital in Merseyside by air ambulance and his condition is believed to be stable.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "Shortly before 5pm on Friday 15 November, police were called to reports of a collision on Dene Drive, Winsford.
"Officers attended the scene and found that a 12-year-old pedestrian had been involved in a collision with a white Citroen C1.
"The boy sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident, he has been taken to Alder Hey hospital via air ambulance.
"The driver of the car was injured, and no arrests have been made at this time.
"Enquires in relation to the collision are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident , or anyone with any dashcam footage, is asked to call 101 quoting IML 1963569."
