The Boys is getting its own spin-off series, featuring a whole new batch of young superheroes.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project has been in development at Amazon for quite some time, but is now being fast-tracked due to the popularity of the main show's second season, which is currently streaming on Prime Video.
The currently untitled spin-off, written by The Boys executive producer Craig Rosenberg, is set in an America's only college for young superheroes, which is naturally run by the evil corporation Vought International.

The series is being described as a part college show and part Hunger Games, with the hormonal superheroes putting their powers to the test as they compete for the best contracts in the outside world.
While Amazon doesn't reveal its independent viewing figures, the streamer previously confirmed that season two had the most watched global debut ever for an Amazon original series, and in its first two weeks, it increased on season one viewership by 89%.
Amazon is currently releasing new episodes of the show on a weekly basis, which prompted some impatient fans to purposely give the series negative reviews.
In response, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke shared a brilliantly edited clip from season 2, in which Homelander actor Antony Starr seethes at the incoming one-star ratings.

"Homelander has... feelings... about the 1 star reviews. (NEW EP TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT)," Kripke wrote on Twitter.
The Boys season two is available on Amazon Prime Video.
