The Boys season two is shaping up nicely, with the Amazon Prime show now adding Patton Oswalt to its cast.

The Ratatouille actor has been confirmed to be joining the series by showrunner Erik Kripke, who shared a selfie with the star on Twitter.

"Thank you @pattonoswalt, that was AMAZING! #TheBoysTV #Season2 #SecretRole," he wrote.

While his role is under wraps, fans are sure to start speculating over just who Oswalt will play, with one possibility being The Legend – a former comic book writer with an encyclopedic knowledge of superheroes.

Filming is currently under way for the second season, and Kripke recently shared a bloody first-look image from the new episodes.
