Boyzone's No Matter What documentary leaves fans heartbroken as Mikey Graham 'rejects' reunion
Boyzone fans claim to have been left 'heartbroken' and 'in tears' over the moving final scene in the group's new Sky documentary No Matter What, which sees Mikey Graham turn down the chance to get back together with his old bandmates.
Having been formed by music mogul and X Factor judge Louis Walsh in the early 90s memorably launching on Ireland's The Late, Late Show, before landing a top 3 hit with debut single Working My Way Back To You, Boyzone crossed the shore to England and had a huge impact straight away, with Love Me For A Reason peaking at number 2 in early 1995 and being followed into the top five by Key to My Life and So Good, as their debut album topped the charts.
For the next five years, the four piece - Mikey, Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy - were one of the biggest bands in the world, with number 1 hits like Words, A Different Beat and When The Going Gets Tough, before deciding to 'take a break' at the turn of the millennium, as Ronan tasted success as a solo artist..

The group reformed in 2007, before being dealt a tragic blow just two years later when Stephen died on holiday in Spain. Having continued as a four piece, Boyzone said goodbye to fans with a farewell tour in 2019, with Mikey appearing in No Matter What to reveal that he hasn't spoken to any of the other three since; having clashed with Keith in a big way towards the end of the last tour.
Having done separate interviews for the three part series, the final moments see Ronan, Keith and Shane sit down together for a drink, with Mikey nowhere to be seen. He does appear in the documentary, with him looking genuinely upset as he reveals he felt 'shunned' by manager Louis, who favoured Ronan and Stephen and was left struggling just a few years into the group's huge pop career.
Towards the end of No Matter What, Mikey says "I wish them all the best, no grudges, no animosity, nothing," but then explaining why he didn't want to see them, adds: "I don't want to go back to how I felt for many years. To see them, if it were for too long, would remind me of that. My future is far too important for me to waste it looking back at my past but I wish everybody well."
Reacting to the moving and, at times tough to watch, documentary, one fan took to X to write: "God bless @MRMIKEYGRAHAM the way he was treated was appalling. Always been a massive Boyzone fan. My favourite boyband bar none. Tough seeing Mikey how vulnerable he was and still is."
Equally upset on Mikey's behalf, another posted: "Mikey breaking my heart" as a third responded: "Heartbroken for Mikey, the sadness for Stephen and hatred for Louis. All the emotions from a documentary I thought meh may as well watch!"
