Who is Bradley Cooper dating? From ex-wife Jennifer Esposito to supermodel Irina Shayk, all his past girlfriends

Bradley Cooper has always kept his love life under wraps, with details about his romances far and few between. Recently, it was rumoured that the Guardians of the Galaxy actor was dating Big Little Lies’ Laura Dern after they were seen grabbing a meal together - however Dern has clarified where exactly the pair stand.

Speaking to Us Weekly, Dern said, “We’re amazing friends. We’re so lucky. And we’re family.”

“I mean, everybody’s always gonna comment about whatever seems intriguing, and he’s the greatest human and one of my best friends in the world,” she continued, referencing the dating rumours, “So I don’t blame anyone for having deep curiosity about his life ’cause he’s spectacular.”

While Cooper may be a bachelor, he hasn’t been one for very long. After plenty of Page Six rumors, from silent dinners to a surprising lack of PDA, Bradley Cooper and longtime girlfriend Irina Shayk officially called it quits after four years together in June. The couple shares daughter Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper.

Although it was previously speculated that Cooper was on a “romantic getaway” with his A Star is Born co-star Lady Gaga, The Sun claimed that the figure mistaken for the songstress was reportedly a 60 year old man named Guggi.

Despite Cooper’s private approach to relationships, fans speculated about Cooper and Lady Gaga after the pair's apparent chemistry in A Star is Born. The fervor only continued after their intense duet of Shallow at the Oscars.

While Gaga didn't address the rumours directly, some have interpreted her recent move at a concert as a nod to the Cooper rumors.

In June, during one of the singer's Las Vegas concerts and prior to singing Shallow, she told her fans, "And one more thing, be kind or f**k off."

Gaga is said to be currently seeing audio engineer Dan Horton and was most recently spotted with him at a concert.

Cooper, who is known for being notoriously tight-lipped, hasn’t exactly been open about his past relationships. He usually takes his mother to awards show instead of his love interests.

“I don’t necessarily see the upside of it. You know? I don’t,” he told The New York Times about his reluctance to talk about his personal life.

But who has Cooper previously dated? From his short-lived first marriage to the years he spent with Shayk, here's a run-down of his past (and rumored) loves.

The pre-Hangover years and his short-lived first marriage

Rumors first surfaced that the pair were dating in early 2006. By October of that same year, People confirmed their engagement, and they married in December 2006 in France. But they were divorced only four months later.

Esposito later wrote about their relationship in her book, Jennifer’s Way: My Journey with Celiac Disease — What Doctors Don’t Tell You and How You Can Learn to Live Again. She mentioned that one of her exes was a “master manipulator," with some speculating this could be Cooper.

It has been 12 years since their divorce, but there might still be tension between the former couple. David Spade posted an Instagram photo of Lady Gaga and Cooper cozying up to each other during their “Shallow” performance at the 2019 Oscars, captioned “Is there any chance these two aren’t f******?” Esposito commented with one word, but a meaningful one: “Ha.”

His rumored romances with Hollywood’s elite

After his split with Esposito, Cooper was rumored to be romancing multiple Hollywood stars. When he spent time with Cameron Diaz in New York in 2007, people thought there was a new power couple but both denied a romantic relationship. They were photographed watching a Giants vs. Eagles NFL game alongside Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore and on a walk through Central Park.

“I think she’s great. We’re good friends,” Cooper told People. He went on to say, “I’m sort of nomadic. I love going on location,” which might explain a few of his short-lived dalliances.

He then dated actress Jordana Brewster’s sister, Isabella, for about a year in 2008. She was a CAA talent agent at the time.

He went on to spend time with his He’s Just Not That Into You co-star Jennifer Aniston in 2009 - but it could have been a friendly moment between colleagues. He was also rumored to be dating Denise Richards.

Other A-listers he was briefly seen with include Olivia Wilde, Scarlett Johansson, Zoë Saldana and Jennifer Lopez.

Cooper met Renée Zellweger in 2006 on the set of Case 39. While the film wasn’t a hit, he dated the Bridget Jones star from 2009 until 2011.

“I can’t say enough about her,” Cooper told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “I just love her. I [loved] coming to work. I love acting with her. I can learn so much from her.”

The modelizing years

While Cooper is no Leonardo DiCaprio, he did date two models.

Before meeting Irina Shayk, Cooper coupled up with the 12-years younger Suki Waterhouse, who he met at the Elle Style Awards in 2013. They were together for two years before splitting in 2015.

Cooper started dating Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Irina Shayk in April 2015 - they were first spotted seeing Finding Neverland on Broadway by Page Six.

While he rarely spoke out about his romance with the supermodel Shayk, he did notably thank her during his BAFTAS acceptance speech.

"Most of all I have to thank Irina for putting up with me, for all the music I was trying to make in our basement for a year," Cooper said. "Thank you very much."

Shayk was similarly quiet about their relationship. “I have a lot of friends who share a lot of their personal life on Instagram or social media, very publicly. I admire it and I think it’s great – but I think it’s all about personal choice. Because my work requires me to be out there, I just decided my personal life will be quiet. That’s why it’s called personal, because it’s something for you and your family, and I feel happy with it,” she told Glamour UK.

The couple welcomed their daughter, Lea Seine, in April of 2017.

“I guess having a child, and having a family of my own - which is a miracle and something I've always dreamt of - has opened me up even more, I guess, to the day, and to be present,” Cooper told NPR.

The pair officially called it quits in June, with the Russian model spotted leaving their Los Angeles home with a suitcase.

Though Shayk confirmed she does still believe in marriage in an interview with Bazaar, it's unlikely either will say much more than that regarding their split - but all eyes surely will be on who they decide to date next.
