The Chase star Bradley Walsh is not only a TV favourite but is also a proud father and grandfather.

His son Barney Walsh, known from Casualty, has shared the screen with his famous father in The Larkins and they also teamed up again for the BBC's Gladiators reboot.

Yet, Bradley's family extends beyond the limelight, with his daughter Hayley living a life far removed from the glitz of showbiz.

Hayley, whose mother is Bradley's ex Debby Parker, is 15 years older than her brother Barney, who was born to Bradley's wife Donna Derby. Despite the age gap, the siblings are said to be close-knit.

The 42-year-old reflexologist currently lives in Hertfordshire with her husband, Tom, and son, Dax, Bradley's first grandchild, who was born in 2021, the Express reports.

She took to her reflexology-focused Instagram account to announce her maternity leave as she revealed her pregnancy at the same time with the post: "On maternity leave".

Becoming a grandfather has brought immense joy to Bradley. Speaking to Saga magazine, he couldn't contain his excitement: "I am a grandfather! My daughter and her husband Tom have had a baby boy who is coming up for five months old."

Bradley also shared his playful approach to grandparenting, revealing his strategy for when Dax gets a bit older: "I'm going to be a brilliant grandfather because I've got this trick.

"When the baby grows into a toddler, make sure you spend plenty of time with them, feeding them ice cream and Coca-Cola, and then give them back at just the right time and say to your children, 'There you are, that's what you were like.'".

Hayley, who typically keeps her personal life under wraps, recently opened up about her struggles with fertility prior to conceiving her son.

In a heartfelt post on her business Instagram page @haleywalshreflexology in January, she shared her journey into reflexology and how it personally benefited her.

She wrote: "As it's a brand New Year (and one of my New Year's resolutions is to be more active on here..) it seems like the right time to introduce myself again. Hello, I'm Hayley - Reflexologist in Berkhamsted, Herts. So here we go.. a few things about me and Reflexology.. ".

"I first tried it (very reluctantly! ) after a health blip in 2017 and can honestly say with my hand on my heart it changed my life. After my first treatment I felt emotionally lighter, more focussed, less anxious and immediately started sleeping better.

"It felt like a natural reboot and I was hooked from day 1. In 2018 I had the opportunity to change my career and retrain in something that I was genuinely passionate about, so I packed my school bag, joined the London School of Reflexology at Regents Park University and got my Diploma in 2019.

"Before and during my studies, I was experiencing my own long (and complicated) fertility issues, we did everything - you name it, we tried it. I then fell pregnant in 2020 with our son, Dax, whilst we were taking some time out from treatments to review our options."

She continued: "I'm very open and honest with clients about my experiences both good and bad with different fertility treatments should they want to know, so if you are going through something similar and have any questions during your session, please feel free to ask.".

"Due to the above, I'm also trained in fertility and pregnancy Reflexology. I learnt so much about my own body during our journey that it felt right to put all that knowledge to good use and try to help others in similar situations.

"Reflexology really is an incredible therapy and can help with such a wide variety of issues. Stress and anxiety ( the reason I booked my very first appointment) Insomnia, digestive problems, tension headaches, migraines, hormonal imbalances, the list goes on and on. I'm all ears."

Reflexology, also known as zone therapy, is a type of massage technique involving the application of pressure to specific points on the feet, ears, and hands.
