The show hasn't even officially launched yet, but celebrities taking part in this year's The Jump are already wracking up a pretty substantial number of injuries, and those perilously icy slopes have just tripped up their next celebrity victim.

Following Vogue Williams' departure from the series last week due to a knee injury, one of the series' biggest names, Sir Bradley Wiggins, is the latest to get caught up in the perils of the Channel 4 winter sports-themed contest.

But don't worry, he's not out of the game yet as the Olympian shared a picture on social media to assure fans that "the show must go on".

We just hope that means he's clear to make it for tomorrow night's official launch show.

Wiggins posted this picture of what appears to be an ankle injury being bandaged up early on Saturday, but the cyclist seemed in much better spirits just hours later, posting another image showing he's about to treat himself to a hot cup of Yorkshire tea.

Because there's nothing that can't be fixed by a good brew, right Wiggo?

While he seems to be braving through the injury for now, Wiggins isn't exactly the only celebrity on this year's series battling through the pain to stay in the competition after former Big Brother winner Josie Gibson sprained her knee and hit her head while training earlier in the week.

And that's just this year, as The Jump is now getting pretty famous for this kind of thing happening quite often.

A dozen celebrities from previous years have suffered injuries that required them to have surgery, including former Strictly star Ola Jordan, Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle and actress Tina Hobley.

However, in March last year Ofcom opted not to investigate the show, determining that contestants were "aware of the potential risk" before taking part.

We'll be watching through closed fingers tomorrow night to see how many other celebrities fall victim to the slopes, nonetheless.

The Jump returns to Channel 4 on Sunday (February 5) at 7.30pm.
