Braehead Primary pupils have a playground to be proud of thanks to local support
Youngsters at Braehead Primary in Dumbarton have a playground to be proud of - thanks to community support.
After getting the surface blasted clean by firefighters from Dumbarton fire station, creative agency Thermmark gave pupils the chance to choose new colourful designs to enjoy during their breaks.
These were installed in just a day - letting youngsters take advantage of the last of the summer weather earlier this month.

Nicola Moorcroft from the school’s parent council said: “The kids absolutely love them and want to thank everyone involved - the Friends of Braehead Parent Council, the Dumbarton Community Fire Station and firefighters who helped to clean the playground and get it fresh and ready for the stencils.
“Thermmark let the children at the school choose some designs they liked and provided high quality thermoplastic stencils and colours which are guaranteed to last a very long time.
“They even provided a professional who used a blowtorch to seal the designs onto the playground so there was no requirement for glue or anything. He was extremely professional and careful while working and had them all finished in just a day.
“We’d like to thank Nicola Banks for her hard work in getting Thermmark involved and the amazing donations which would have cost the school in excess of £3,000. And of course Mike and all the team at Thermmark for their incredible designs and generosity. We cannot recommend them highly enough.”
A spokeswoman for creative firm TCC who supported the project said: “At TCC we are known for marketing campaigns that have both UK wide and hyper local impact, and our work in the community is such a part of who we are.
“When we were approached about what we could do to help Braehead Primary through the PTA, we were delighted to be able to support and hope it adds some colour and fun to the days at school for all the pupils.”
