Brand new Greggs store opens inside popular Essex shopping centre creating 4 jobs
Looking for a new spot to grab your favourite pastries? Greggs will open its new and improved shop tomorrow (Oct 17) in Basildon, creating four new jobs for the area.
Previously located at Basildon Bus Station on South Walk, the shop has relocated to a larger unit at 36/36A Eastgate Shopping Centre. The shop will stock freshly prepared Greggs favourites, such as the on-the-go-retailer’s popular sausage roll, steak bake and delicious vegan alternatives.
The new Basildon Greggs shop will also stock its much-loved sweet mince pies which have returned to shops nationwide. Halloween has also officially arrived at Greggs, with the addition of new spooky (but sweet) menu items, including the pumpkin biscuit and the spooky bun.

Shop Manager Tracy Wheddon said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop. We’ve got an amazing range of iconic savouries, Fairtrade hot drinks, hot food and healthier choices available for takeaway, sit-in or Click and Collect.”
Gillian Long, Retail Operations Director for Greggs, said: “We’re excited to be welcoming customers to our new and improved shop in Basildon, with four new members joining the existing team. We look forward to providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites.”
