“The Braxtons”: Tamar Braxton Receives an Emotional Message from Her Late Sister Traci Through a Medium (Exclusive)

"She says before I passed, I did a lot of things that I wish I did differently," the medium tells Tamar during a reading on the season finale of 'The Braxtons'

Tamar Braxton is looking for answers from a medium more than two years after the death of her sister Traci.

In PEOPLE’s exclusive preview of The Braxtons season finale, Tamar meets with Taz, a medium who connects with “people that have passed on, so that we can bring closure and healing.”

During the meeting, it's revealed that Traci and sister Trina had a disagreement while celebrating Traci’s birthday, which “upset Tamar.”

In flashback from three weeks earlier, Tamar tells her sister, “He said that she had about two weeks. Y'all remember that. No one would tell me.”

“I don't understand why I was the last to know,” she adds in a confessional. Trina then reminds her that they were “at odds” before Traci’s death but Tamar disagrees.

However, she candidly admits in a confessional, “On one hand, she's right. Traci and I did have a lot of disagreements if I'm honest about it.”

When asked by her sisters why Traci didn’t tell her, Tamar replies, “I don't know why she didn't tell me. I don't have that answer.”

During the reading with Taz, she explains to Tamar, “I want to actually go into that energy and hear from her sister. You know what she has to say.”

“Traci does come through but she is so emotional. I’m feeling emotional now because she’s connecting very strongly with you. Her first word to you is: I am sorry,” she says at Tamar wipes away a tear. “She says before I passed, I did a lot of things that I wish I did differently. She says I love each and every one of you. Just remember you’re my baby.”

The reading comes more than two years after Toni Braxton announced Traci’s death at age 50 on Instagram in March 2022, writing in a statement, "It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci."

"Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly," the statement continued.

At the time, Traci's husband, Kevin Surratt, confirmed she was “privately undergoing a series of treatment for Esophageal cancer” before her death.
