Brazen driver caught by Dumbarton police after driving from England 'with no insurance'

A brazen driver was caught by police in West Dunbartonshire after having driven from England 'with no insurance'.

Dumbarton Road Police were travelling along the A82 near Balloch when they spotted the vehicle before stopping its driver.

Officers discovered that the man behind the wheel had travelled from down south allegedly without being insured.

He is also alleged to have failed a roadside drug swipe. Police seized the vehicle.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland wrote social media: "Lateshift Dumbarton road police stopped the driver of this vehicle on the A82 near to Balloch.

"The male driver had driven from England with no insurance, he also failed the roadside drug swipe."
