Brazilian media react to Liverpool star Alisson's performance after shock defeat
Alisson was in action for Brazil during their World Cup qualifiers against Paraguay, but it was another night to forget. For the first time in 16 years, Brazil fell to defeat in the hands of the Paraguayans.
Midfielder Diego Gomez netted the only goal that separated the sides in the first half to close the gap to Tite's side in the World Cup qualifiers table. It was Brazil's first defeat under Tite and they remain fifth in the South American standings, eight points from leaders Argentina.
Alisson made his eighth start for the Selecao Canarinho this year, but the team's performances have been questionable. Real Madrid star Vini Junior reflected on the defeat by saying: "We want to take Brazil out of this situation," he told Brazilian media.

"We need to go home and reflect on how to improve, what we need to do to play well and win more easily. We can't lose a game playing the way that we did. It's a difficult moment but we have to assimilate all the criticism and put Brazil at the top."
With that said, the ECHO has taken a look at how Alisson was rated by the Brazilian media.
