Breaking - Birmingham gunfire as Sutton Coldfield house targeted and scene sealed off
Part of a street was sealed off after a house was shot at. Gunfire was reported in Warden Road, Sutton Coldfield, last night, Saturday, November 16.
The scene was cordoned off by police and a forensic examination was carried out, with a witness telling BirminghamLive of a significant emergency services presence on the road. They said "five to six" police cars were outside a property and officers were "shining lights through windows."
The road was closed overnight, the witness said. West Midlands Police said a house was damaged but no-one was hurt.

House-to-house enquiries were taking place on Sunday morning and an appeal was made to members of the public to get in touch with any information that may help officers. The force said: "We were called at around 8pm last night to reports of shots fired towards an address on Warden Road, Sutton Coldfield.
"No-one was injured but a window of the property was damaged. We are in the early stages of our investigation and are conducting CCTV and house-to-house enquiries.
"A cordon was in place for forensic examination but this has now been lifted. Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact us via Live Chat on our website or call 101 quoting 3931 of 16/11/24."
