Yahoo News Brendan Cole on the verge of quitting Strictly Come Dancing?
Last night, Charlotte Hawkins and her professional dance partner, Brendan Cole, became the latest couple to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing, with the pair losing the dance off against EastEnders’ actor Davood Ghadami and his partner Nadiya Bychkova.
Now both fans and BBC bosses fear that Brendan is on the verge of quitting the show for good, with his farewell speech last night appearing to be a little too final.

Brendan, 41, has danced in every series of Strictly since it launched in 2004, however, things are said to have turned bitter between himself and producers after he was overlooked for the job of head judge after Len Goodman retired last year.
During this series of the show, Brendan has clashed with Len’s replacement, Shirely Ballas, after she criticised Charlotte’s dance technique.
The veteran dancer is also said to be on the same salary as most of the junior dancers on the show due to the BBC’s strict pay rules.
Speaking to The Sun, an insider revealed that Beeb bosses are now wondering if the star has had enough.

They explained: “He loves being a part of the show, but his lack of promotion and clashes with judges this year have led top bosses to wonder how long he’ll stick around for
“They don’t want him to leave. Deep down, Brendan doesn’t want to either – but options are being weighed up.”
Shocked viewers previously saw Brendan take exception when Shirely criticised his and Charlotte’s Top Gun-inspired tango, and he has also slammed judge Bruno Tonioli for describing Nadiya and Davood’s dance routine as a “race to the bedroom”.
Speaking after Charlotte’s elimination last night, Brendan said: “Quite often you stand in this position and you go, ‘Hey it was our time to go’ and perhaps today it was our time to go.

“Not often you stand here with such sadness and go ‘I’m going to miss this and I’m going to miss hanging out with this girl.’
“I’m going to miss dancing with her, I’ve had one of the best Strictly’s in 15 years and it’s hard for me to even say that and I feel really emotional.”
The dancer’s emotional speech left viewers at home wondering if he was bidding farewell to the show in its entiriety, with fans taking to Twitter to speculate:
