Yoann Barbet, Nico Yennaris and Ollie Watkins scored stunning strikes as Brentford gained a first Skybet Championship win of the season with a 3-0 success over bottom-of-the-table Bolton at the Macron Stadium.

Substitute Barbet, a 17th minute replacement for skipper John Egan, blasted the Bees into a first-half lead.

Yennaris matched that spectacular long-range free-kick with a brilliant 30-yard right-foot special just after the hour.

And Watkins completed a hat-trick of high quality finishes seven minutes from time for Brentford's first win at Bolton in 25 years, and lifted Dean Smith's side out of the relegation zone.

Wanderers, however, are now the only Championship team without a win.

Preston 0 Millwall 0

High-flying Preston were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Millwall at Deepdale in a game of few clear-cut chances.

The draw extends Preston's unbeaten run to six Sky Bet Championship games and they were the side who came closest to breaking the deadlock, with opportunities wasted either side of half-time.

Millwall's wait for a first win at this level since February 2015 rumbles on.

Fulham 1 Middlesbrough 1

Cyrus Christie earned himself redemption with the 88th-minute equaliser which gave Middlesbrough a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Fulham at Craven Cottage.

With the ball bouncing around the Fulham penalty area, Christie kept his nerve to volley under the body of home keeper David Button to earn Boro a point.

Just two minutes earlier, Christie had allowed Ryan Sessegnon to send over a deep cross on to the head of Aboubakar Kamara. The Fulham substitute nodded the ball in off the post in what appeared to spare him his own embarrassment after skewing his shot wide 10 minutes earlier.

QPR 0 Burton 0

QPR maintained their unbeaten record at home in the Sky Bet Championship this season with a 0-0 draw against Burton at Loftus Road.

Burton, meanwhile, have lost just one of their last six league games and continue to steady the ship following a poor start to the campaign.
