Brian McFadden Thinks The X Factor Has ‘Lost Its Magic’: ‘I Miss Louis Walsh And Dermot O’Leary’

Brian McFadden has become the latest celebrity to cast their opinion on the new look X Factor - and it doesn’t sound like he’s a fan.

If there’s anyone out there who HASN’T yet shared their thoughts on this year’s stages, please make yourself known to Simon Cowell, please.

While we reckon Caroline Flack and Olly Murs have stepped into Dermot O’Leary’s shoes effortlessly, and Nick Grimshaw has been doing a grand job in Louis Walsh’s seat, former Westlife singer Brian isn’t quite so keen on the changes.

The ex-Australia’s Got Talent judge told The Mirror: “Louis not being on it is a shame. I miss Louis and Dermot O’Leary.

“There are too many changes this year. I’m pretty old school. I used to love The X Factor but I think it has lost its magic. I watched the first few episodes but I’ve given up.”

Oh.

He went on to admit he’d love to see a Louis-shaped return, adding: “It would be great if Louis was to come back. He’s like an uncle everyone loves. He’s not a diva. He’s down to earth.”

Luckily for Brian, there have been more rumours about Louis re-joining the show in some kind of fifth judge scenario than we’ve had hot dinners.

Speaking to the Loose Women panellists last month, Lou said: “I love doing X Factor. I love working with Simon … I have fun with him. I wind him up, he winds me up. It’s a good double act. I like to bring a bit of fun.

“Simon said the door was open for me months ago. I talked to him last night — there’s a possibility I might end up on the show. It’s up to Simon. I get on with him really well. I’ve worked with him for 12 years. We talk all the time, so I think there’s a chance.”

“I love finding new talent — there’s so many great people who came from The X Factor.”

Simon ‘isn’t ruling anything out’ when it comes to this year’s show, while a source has told The Sun: “He will be a neutral fifth judge who will sit in a special place away from the other judges to provide his own unbiased comments on the contestants.

“It’s a massive coup for Louis who is also going to sign a deal with Simon to help launch Ireland’s Got Talent as a judge.

We know Nick will come into his own on the live shows because of his experience as a DJ, but we think Louis will be a great addition.”

We can’t wait!
