Bride Casme Carter had 34 bridesmaids in her wedding party

If you thought six bridesmaids was excessive, how about 30? An influencer called Casme Carter just went all out with a whopping 34 bridesmaids at her wedding party.

Casme Carter, 38, threw a 5am sunrise wedding on June 1 and brought a huge group of bridesmaids along for the ride.

The group of ladies came from her time touring as a musician. “Every lady was handpicked,” Carter told Today. “I traveled for 18 years as a singer and made incredible friends along the way. I felt so loved and blessed to have them by my side.”

The New Orleans singer’s bridesmaids ranged in age from 21 to 50 and apparently got along swimmingly.

“We had doctors and performers and lawyers, just a big assortment of different personalities and it was nothing but love,” Carter said. “My girls from Atlanta are now talking to my girls from Nashville on social media and it makes me so happy.”

The ladies wore neutral tones, some picking from dresses they already owned and others snapping a $25 dress from Amazon just before the big day. Carter made the ceremony as simple as possible by picking a venue that was no more than six hours by car from any of her bridesmaids.

The groom had 12 groomsmen – which under normal circumstances is a pretty large group in itself, but looked quite intimate compared to the bridal party. 12 of the bridesmaids walked down the aisle with the groomsmen, while the others walked down solo.

“We had an acoustic guitar player and a saxophone going,” Carter told Today. “I think people were worried it was going to take forever, but it didn’t.”

Turns out, 34 might have actually been a small group for the bride. “If I would have had more time to plan I would have had 50!” she said.
