A couple that will soon be married is fuming after two of their friends have opted to throw a baby shower on the same day as the wedding — and they've invited everyone in the group chat.

In an anonymous post shared to Reddit, the bride-to-be writes that she and her fiancé distributed invitations to their wedding months ago, but didn't hear back from one specific couple on the invite list.

Noting that the couple who didn't initially RSVP was expecting a child, the bride-to-be writes, "The birth was planned a full 2 months after our wedding date, but I made sure to tell our pregnant friend that there was absolutely no pressure for her to come."

"She actually confessed it might be a high risk pregnancy for her so she probably won't come, but will insist her partner join the party since he is the friend of the groom and deserves a night of fun with the band," the poster adds.

As the RSVPs started to come in, the poster says she had her fiancé contacted the couple, who said they still weren't sure if they could make it.

"The day we go to file the paperwork for our marriage license, my fiancé receives a message in the friend group chat: 'Hey guys, we would love to invite your ladies to xx Baby Shower !!!! On -wedding date-.' My jaw dropped at the audacity," the woman writes in her post.

Her fiancé fired back in the group chat, writing, "sorry mate but I'm kind of busy getting married that day".

"In my mind I was like, 'That's one way to RSVP no,' lol," the poster adds. "But the guy still insisted after that he 'might' come."

The poster continues:"I get that having babies is a huge milestone, and you should want to celebrate that, prioritize that. Of course, your pregnant partner trumps your friend's wedding, but don't invite them to an event the same day, maybe?"

While she writes that she is "over it now" the bride-to-be adds, "it definitely was a wtf moment for me."

Many commenters have chalked up the pregnant couple's shower date to them being "clueless" and overwhelmed with the pregnancy, with one person writing, "To give them the benefit of the doubt, they were probably wrapped up in their pregnancy and getting ready for the child to come, particularly if it was high risk."

Others aren't so sure it wasn't intentional.

"That’s beyond rude, that’s just downright selfish!" writes one commenter. "They literally could have scheduled the baby shower the weekend before or after."
