Brie Larson says Schumer, Dunham 'saved her life'

From Digital Spy

Brie Larson has praised the actresses that "saved [her] life" following her rise to international stardom in the movie Room.

Larson was only 26 years old when she scored the best actress gong at the 2016 Oscars, and was left struggling to cope while promoting the much-buzzed film last year.

However, speaking to Vanity Fair, the actress revealed she found comfort in the form of her fellow actresses Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence, both of whom have also won Oscars at a young age.

In fact, the Oscar winners are all in a text chain with Larson's Trainwreck co-star Amy Schumer, as well as Girls creator Lena Dunham.

If that isn't squad goals...

"I felt lonely and bad sometimes," Brie said. "I was embarrassed to keep talking about myself.

"Emma wrote this beautiful e-mail out of nowhere, and then one day Jen sent me a text message after she saw Room, and we started talking.

"That [group of friends] saved my life. I was able to talk with them about everything that was going on in my life, and it was with people who had been through it before and are also hilarious.

"That support and acceptance was everything. I was home-schooled, so I didn't have friends that had the same interests as me, and I found it to be absolutely incredible."

During the interview, Larson also revealed that Emma Stone found her before the 2016 Oscars and gave her a book called I Can Fly, an elephant totem for her purse, and a good-luck card.

"It's those little things," she added.

This isn't the first time the actresses have displayed their rock-solid support for one another, either.

After this year's Oscars, Brie was the first to congratulate Emma with an emotionally charged hug.

You guys!!
