Brighouse stabbing: Police statement as two men injured after 'fight'

Two men have been arrested after they were found with stab wounds following a fight in Brighouse this morning.

It is reported that at 9.30am on Wednesday (May 15) police received a report of an ongoing fight in Church Street where a male had suffered an injury to his face.

Officers attended and found two males with injuries which appeared to have been caused by a knife.

Both males received treatment and have since been arrested as enquiries continue into what is being treated as an isolated incident, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police has said. Two knives have also been seized. A police cordon was in place at the scene earlier today while officers continued their investigations.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police added: “Anyone who saw what happened, or who has information that may assist this investigation is asked to contact Calderdale District CID on 101, or by using the live chat facility on our website, quoting log 421 of 15 May.
