BrightView: Fiscal 1Q Earnings Snapshot

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. (AP) _ BrightView Holdings Inc. (BV) on Thursday reported a loss of $8.8 million in its fiscal first quarter.

The Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania-based company said it had a loss of 9 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 10 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 13 cents per share.

The investment company posted revenue of $526 million in the period, also falling short of Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $548.4 million.

BrightView expects full-year revenue in the range of $2.4 billion to $2.47 billion.

BrightView shares have increased 44 percent since the beginning of the year.
