Brindleyplace attack as police issue pictures of two men who 'may know' what happened

Police are probing an attack on a man inside a Birmingham city centre pub. Officers have issued pictures of two men who 'may know more about what happened' at the Slug and Lettuce in Brindleyplace.

The victim was punched inside the bar and suffered a head injury, which needed stitches. Police now want to speak to the two men in the picture above about the incident, which happened just after 11.30pm on July 6.

No arrests have been made. Police inquiries are ongoing.

In a statement, police said: "Did you witness an assault in Birmingham this summer? We're looking to speak to these two men after a man was assaulted inside the Slug and Lettuce in Brindleyplace on 6 July this year.

"Shortly after 11.30pm, the man was punched, suffering a head injury which required stitches. We're looking to speak to these two men as they may know more about what happened.
