Bristol braces for all-day rain as yellow weather warning extends into Monday
A yellow weather warning for rain has been extended to tomorrow, Monday, September 23, in Bristol. The weather warning was initially in place from midnight on Sunday, September 22, until 11.59pm, but now we're expecting more heavy rain to bring in the new week.
Pictures sent to BristolLive show that flooding has been having an impact on drivers in the city. They show flooding under a bridge in Easton Road hampering motorists in the city and is is likely to be worse tomorrow.
Bristol is expected to initially be dry and cloudy until 6am on Monday, September 23. However, the rain is then forecast to come and stay the whole day, with the heaviest showers between 9am and 3pm. The rain is predicted to stop at around 1am on Tuesday, September 24, with dry skies expected for the rest of the day.

Temperatures in the city are expected to be relatively stable on Monday, with lows of 14 degrees Celcius and highs of 17. A light breeze, no stronger than six miles per hour, will accompany the rain.
The weather warning covers most of the UK, with Gloucestershire, the midlands and parts of the North East being issued a more severe amber weather warning. So, what should you expect in Bristol?
