A garden centre claims to have the city's 'most interactive Christmas Grotto'. Describing itself as a 'truly enchanting experience that attracts families from across the South West', Almondsbury Garden Centre dubs it 'no ordinary Grotto'.

Inside, visitors will be able to step into Santa's workshop, journey through a series of festive rooms, pass through a 'naughty or nice' scanner, and enjoy games and festive story time with the elves, before meeting Santa. The grotto opens on Saturday, November 30, promising to be 'better than ever'.

Visitors will explore a series of enchanting passages and chambers and, when they finally make it to Santa's Workshop, be given a gift to take home as a lasting reminder of the day.

The venue is offering early morning slots perfect for children with sensory needs, or who prefer a quieter experience. Usually less busy than standard sessions, these offer a calmer atmosphere to help everyone feel more comfortable while enjoying the magic of the grotto.

Tickets cost £10 per adult and £20 per child, including:

  • A guided tour through enchanting passages and chambers

  • A visit to Santa's secret workshop

  • A pass through the Naughty or Nice scanner

  • Story time and activities with Santa's elves

  • A personal meet-and-greet with Santa Claus himself

  • A gift for each child.

The Almondsbury Christmas Grotto opens every weekend in December, as well as December 23 and 24. In addition to the grotto, the garden centre is also unveiling its Christmas shop, featuring thousands of Christmas decorations, gifts, lights, and trees.

The centre launches its new festive menu in November. Find out more here.
