Bristol Rovers have announced their first trio of pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2024/25 League One campaign with local trips to Melksham Town, Bath City and Yeovil Town confirmed for July.

The three games will be played on Friday, July 5, Saturday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 16 respectively at each club's home ground ahead of the Gas' pre-season training camp in Portugal. While out in Albufeira, Rovers will play another two friendly matches with opponents and details still yet to be confirmed.

Friendlies against Melksham have become a bit of a tradition over recent years with the Southern Football League side excellent hosts for games against the Gas early in pre-season. As for Bath, the two sides have only met competitively once in a 1994 FA Cup tie at Twerton Park which Rovers won 5-0. City reached the National League South play-offs last term but lost to eventual winners Braintree Town.

The trip to Huish Park to face Yeovil will be another to look forward to after the Glovers' promotion back to the National League as National League South title winners last season. Additionally, it will hopefully be a reunion for new Yeovil striker and Rovers academy product Harvey Greenslade who signed for Mark Cooper's side earlier this week having been released by the Gas at the end of last term.

Rovers last faced the Glovers competitively at Huish Park in August 2015 in a 1-0 win in League Two en route to promotion to League One.
