Bristol Rovers player ratings vs Peterborough United: Substitutes almost change game in loss
Josh Griffiths - 6
Couldn't have done much more with the goals and made one outstanding save at 2-0 to deny Ricky-Jade Jones on top of a couple of others you would expect the goalkeeper to make. Still conceded three though.

Connor Taylor - 5
The defender will be disappointed with his display on his return to the side. This is an opportunity for him to show he deserves to keep his spot beyond Taylor Moore's suspension but he didn't do that this afternoon. Lucky not to concede after having the ball knicked off of him when guarding it to go out for a goal-kick and won't be happy with his role in Peterborough's third. A towering presence defending set-pieces in fairness. Hopefully he's shaken off any rustiness because he can play miles better.
James Wilson - 4.5
The central defender was a big part of a poor defensive display and was guilty of a misjudged pass intended for Connor Taylor that instead was picked up by Ricky-Jade Jones who punished the mistake by scoring Peterborough's second goal. He did hold his hand up immediately afterwards, recognising the mistake. After such a strong start to the season, the centre-back has had two displays way off the standard he set for himself.
Clinton Mola - 5
Also part of a poor day defensively. Improved in the second half as all of his teammates did but again, has shown he can perform much better in a Rovers shirt.
Lino Sousa - 7
In my opinion, Rovers' best outfield player that started in what was largely a very sub-standard team display prior to the push for the comeback. Positive on the ball, always looking to drive forwards and almost scored what would've been a great goal in the latter stages of the first-half. Registered an assist for Gatlin O'Donkor's goal and provided some decent corner and free-kick deliveries too.
Kamil Conteh - 6
Still not near the level he's capable of but better from the midfielder. Played a big role in getting the ball forward as Rovers were trying to find the equaliser.
Jamie Lindsay (off for Grant Ward 71') - 5.5
Okay in patches and no doubt his experience will be a major asset in the middle of the park.
Kofi Shaw (off for Luke McCormick 60') - 6
Regardless of the game, a huge day for the 17-year-old as he made his first league start for Rovers, and earned it. Admittedly was ran past a few times but that was to be expected. Looked like one of very few players in that first half who could make a difference in the final third.
Bryant Bilongo (off for Luke Thomas 60') - 5
A bad day defensively in what was a poor team performance but was one of few players who had a couple of positive moments.
Ruel Sotiriou (off for Shaq Forde 80') - 6
Had a good chance to score but, besides that, had very few sights at goal. Pressed hard but Peterborough were able to play around it.
Promise Omochere (off for Gatlin O'Donkor 60') - 5
Set up Sotiriou for said chance but another quiet game for the striker.
Substitutes
Luke McCormick (on 60') - 8
Got the goal that started the potential comeback and was a livewire throughout, busting a gut to contribute wherever he could to help his team find that equalising goal. Has definitely given his manager something to think about.
Gatlin O'Donkor (on 60') - 8
The same as above really, outstanding contribution from the bench. Not the most glamorous goal but that's another striker off the mark this season and now he'll be knocking on the door for a start.
Luke Thomas (on 60') - 7
Dropped after two performances well below his high standards but evidently came on with a point to prove and was a key outlet for Rovers as they sought that third goal.
Grant Ward (on 71') - 6
Also made an evident impact from the bench. It would be a surprise to see him on the bench again next week.
Shaq Forde (on 80') - N/A
Came on late but had a great chance to make it 3-3, denied by Jed Steer.
