Josh Griffiths - 6

Improved display dealing with balls in the box but still work to do. Was largely untroubled but made the odd save on a comfortable night for the goalkeeper. Shouldn't really have conceded two goals on that basis.

Connor Taylor - 7

The defender is starting to look more like his best self. Strong on the ball and was happy to try and carry it up the pitch when there was a patch of green ahead of him. A threat from set-pieces too - that first goal as a permanent Rovers player will come.

James Wilson - 8

Took his goal well and stood up when called upon in defence. One of the most senior players in this squad and certainly showed that tonight.

Clinton Mola - 7

Put in a delightful cross that was flicked on for Wilson's goal and, like his fellow centre-backs, dealt with any threat from Charlton well. Admittedly, the visitors were pretty poor considering the talent in their squad.

Jack Hunt (off for Michael Forbes 71') - 7

Regardless of what might have held the right-back from making his first appearance of the season before Saturday, the right-back has proven how significant a player he is for this side. Demonstrated experience at the back and always tried to make himself useful in the final third. The Gas need him to stay fit for longer than he was last term.

Kamil Conteh - 7

Could've played cautiously having been booked so early but was a notable presence in the middle of the park for Rovers. One of many who looked more like himself.

Jamie Lindsay (off for Jake Garrett 71') - 8

The night he truly introduced himself to the Gas faithful. Tough-tackling, tidy on the ball and you cannot underestimate just how important his goal could prove to be. Not only was it a cracking finish but it gave Rovers a comfortable lead from which they pushed on further.

Bryant Bilongo - 7

Set the tone for the Gas' performance from the very first minute, going on a driving run into the penalty area. Did what he needed to do defensively upon his return to the side. A good battle for places there with Lino Sousa now.

Scott Sinclair (off for Shaq Forde 78') - 8

Brilliant once again. Gave Rovers a deserved lead with a vintage, curling finish and was a livewire in the final third. An absolute no-brainer to keep him in the side for the forseeable.

Ruel Sotiriou (off for Luke McCormick 71') - 6

Some nice link-up moments and tried to charge down defenders as he did on Saturday. Possibly overshadowed by just how good his striker partner was.

Promise Omochere (off for Gatlin O'Donkor 78') - 8

Didn't get himself a goal but boy did he do everything else right. Outstanding link-up and hold-up play throughout the night as he registered two assists in the second half. Was also happy to do the nitty gritty at the back defending set-pieces, getting his leg on a ball or two to clear.

Substitutes:

Luke McCormick (on 71') - 6

Got a decent shot away and carried the ball up the pitch a few times.

Jake Garrett (on 71') - 5

Poor header in the build-up to Charlton's first goal. Huge clearance towards the end.

Michael Forbes (on 71') - 6

Helped see the game out.

Gatlin O'Donkor (on 78') - N/A*

Did well to win a foul deep into added time.

Shaq Forde (on 78') - N/A*

A few lively moments.

*came on after the 75th minute.
