Bristol's Married at First Sight star shocks experts with turnaround
Married at First Sight star from Bristol has left the relationship experts thrilled after managing to turn her relationship around. Ahead of tonight's episode, the experts react as one couple make major improvements to bridging gaps in their relationship after a tense few episodes.
The Mirror reports that an exclusive video shows Bristol's Emma Barnes, 31, alongside partner Caspar Todd, 34 make a memorable entrance to the group. The second dinner party of the new E4 series, which kicked off last month, promising drama and excitement in tonight's episode.
Monitoring the situation from a distance are experts Paul C. Brunson, Mel Schilling, and Charlene Douglas. With anticipation in the air, Paul comments before Emma and Caspar make their way in: "Here we are, second dinner party - right off the back of expert's week. I wonder how that impacted couples."

Meanwhile, Mel adds her thoughts: "Yes, first impressions have happened now. We're now moving into some of the norming, storming stages and we're gonna see connections develop. We're gonna see subgroups develop and tonight I think it'll be quite fascinating to watch."
Seen arriving arm-in-arm and seemingly much closer than at their initial group meetings, sales manager Emma and head gardener Caspar enter the venue, contrasting with their prior meeting where Charlene observed Caspar to look "awkward" and the duo split up shortly after.
The latest scenes have hinted at a warming of relations between the once-tense 'married' couple, particularly following previous friction, including an instance where Caspar disclosed his usual lack of attraction to "curvier" types. In a recent warm exchange, captured with both parties beaming, Emma enthusiastically remarked while being gently held by Caspar: "Oh first. First at the dinner party."
Expert Mel voiced her reaction whilst observing the moment: "Well, here they are! " She went on: "This is my couple - we sat down [in experts' week] and shared some time together this week. I really tried to get them to move away from all of these differences about each other that they've been focusing on, towards more of a 'what are the strengths here?'."
After arriving, Caspar was seen extending a champagne offer to Emma, with her replying eagerly: "Yes, that'd be nice!". He then proceeded to attempt opening the bottle.
As the relationship experts watched on with hopeful anticipation, Paul observed: "It appears that your magic has worked [Mel] because this is the strongest we've ever seen these two."
Earlier tensions had surfaced during their honeymoon, with Caspar notably confessing at a prior dinner party that he didn't find Emma attractive and questioning their match-up. Then, at the commitment ceremony, Emma reflected on their progress with measured optimism: "We're better than we were, but we're still...not quite friends yet, are we?". Caspar agreed with a simple: "No."
Caspar also drew parallels between partner Emma and his twin sister. He said: "I'm fully aware I've got to try and separate the two."
Despite "quite a few" hurdles in their romance, both agreed to persist in the process. The honeymoon, however, was hard-hitting for Emma who broke down as she described to the coaches how Caspar expressed he wasn't attracted to her because he doesn't like "curvy girls".
As the experts' week began, Caspar acknowledged his considerable journey ahead to forge a "proper relationship" with Emma, with Mel dropping in on them as one of the couples desperately needing guidance.
He confessed: "I didn't set out in this experiment to hurt my wife". Nonetheless, the groom maintained that honesty was paramount, admitting his preference for partners who are "slightly slimmer".
In an eye-opening session, Mel exposed the similarities in their profiles, encouraging them to recognize each other's positive traits and nudging them into a bonding activity.
Post-Mel's intervention, Emma felt optimistic, musing: "I'm feeling like there's a fresh start ahead."
With the second dinner party on the horizon, Caspar revealed: "Today feels like a new day." He also praised Mel's input as "really helpful" and acknowledging that it had deepened his understanding of his wife. He concluded: "I think we're going in the right direction".
