Brit Award winning Bastille star to perform candlelight gig at Newcastle's Discovery Museum
A Brit winning star with one of the most distinctive voices in the music industry is coming to Newcastle next month to play a show in the stunning and very unique surroundings of the Discovery Museum.
Formed in 2010, Bastille got off to a flying start in their career, with first album Bad Blood topping the charts and their best known song, Pompeii, nearly doing the same, peaking at number two in 2013. Other hits from their debut included Laura Palmer and the album's title track, with the group going onto win the Breakthrough awards at the 2014 Brits, as Pompeii also made the top five over in America.
Another big hit from the Bastille back catalogue is Of The Night, their mash up of 90s dance anthems Rhythm of the Night and Rhythm is a Dancer, while they were chosen to record a cover of Can't Fight This Feeling for the John Lewis advert in 2019 and also appeared on Band Aid 30 and the charity single Bridge Over Troubled Water to raise money for the victims of Grenfell.
