With London Fashion Week having come to an end on Tuesday, the capital's attention shifted to the O2 Arena tonight where stars gathered for the 2017 Brit Awards.

Known for playing host to some of awards season's bravest outfits - cast your mind back 20 years to Geri Halliwell's iconic Union Jack micro-mini - the occasion annually provides a wealth of sartorial talking points.

One of the first to arrive on tonight's red carpet was Ellie Goulding, who stepped out in a full-length black gown which was slashed to the thigh and featured chain detail across its cut-out chest.

Another guest who rarely holds back back in the style stakes was Rita Ora, who arrived in a full-length khaki green dress which featured heavy gemstone embroidery and a sheer skirt.

Unusually, Ora paired the gown with a khaki camouflage jacket with matching embroidery which she wore loosely dropped off her shoulders.

A particularly anticipated arrival, Katy Perry stepped out tonight in a heavily-sequinned blush pink mini dress and jacket which fell into a deeper, bluer hue towards its hem.

One of our favourite looks from the red carpet came from model Charlotte Wiggins, who wore a velvet cobalt blue ruffled dress with asymmetric hem and bell sleeves.

Other attendees included Michelle Keegan, Little Mix, Fearne Cotton, Abbey Clancy, Pixie Lott and Emeli Sande.
