A lucky Brit has claimed a staggering £123 million EuroMillions jackpot.

Camelot has confirmed the £123,458,008 prize has been claimed, but the winner has not yet been named nor is it known if he or she will go public.

It is the third highest win in National Lottery history

The owner of the winning ticket matched all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars during the draw on Tuesday, June 11.

The winning numbers were 25, 27, 39, 42 and 46, with Lucky Stars 11 and 12.

Lotto sent out an appeal appeal for the lucky winner to come forward amid fears they didn't know they were in possession of the winning tickets.

Their new found fortune would see them enter the Sunday Times Rich List of the 1,000 wealthiest people and businesses in the UK.

In July 2011, Colin and Chris Weir, from North Ayrshire, Scotland, won Europe's biggest ever jackpot of £161million.

Gillian Bayford and then husband Adrian claimed a sizeable £148m in August 2010.

Patrick and Frances Connolly from Northern Ireland won £114.9 million in the EuroMillions New Year's Day draw.
