Britain’s Got Talent 2017: Judges arrive on a donkey to first auditions in Blackpool
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a donkey!
Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden arrived in style for the Britain’s Got Talent launch in Blackpool on Wednesday.
X Factor frontman Simon, 57, and his right-hand man David, 45, turned heads as they made their entrance at the Opera House in a small carriage, kitted out in Union Jack regalia, which was being pulled by a donkey.
Elsewhere, the self-proclaimed nation’s sweetheart Amanda, 45, and former Mis-Teeq singer Alesha, 38, proved they were not horsing around with their launch-day appearance either, as they arrived on a double-decker bus, which was also decorated with Union Jack flags.
However, the foursome had a more glamourous beginning to their journey on the next instalment of the series – as the swanky squad travelled to the seaside resort in a private jet. (Yes, you read that correctly: A private jet!)
Sharing a snap with her fellow judges and BGT hosts Ant and Dec, Alesha wrote on Instagram: “Back with my @bgt family and it feels good! Have missed these faces! Blackpool we are ready for you tomorrow! #BGT #jetlife”
The Geordie duo also shared the image, as well as David, who took things to a classically cheeky level with his caption.
He wrote: “The @bgt gang. As you can see from the photograph @simoncowell is entering me.”
Oo-er! Britain’s Got Talent will return later this year.
