Britain's Got Talent 2017 semi-final results: Which two acts were voted through?

The Britain’s Got Talent live semi-finals kicked off last night – with eight acts taking to the stage and battling it out for a place in Sunday night’s grand final.

And for the first time in the show’s history, it was left entirely to the audience to vote two acts through, with the judges losing their voting powers.

15-year-old singer Kyle Tomlinson earned a standing ovation from the judges for his heart-wrenching rendition of Adele’s When We Were Young and became the night’s runner-up.

Magical double act DNA were the next to go through, claiming the top spot after securing the highest number of votes from the public for their mind-reading (and mind-boggling) act.

“Thanks everyone” the pair said humbly upon hearing the results. “It means so much”.

Girl band Miss Treat Vibe, who performed their own version of Mary Mary’s Shackles, also made it to the top three on Monday night, but narrowly missed out on a guaranteed place in the final.

Meanwhile, St. Patrick’s Junior Choir Drumgreenagh, dancing PC Dan, magician Niels Harder, Empire Dance Crew, and knife throwers Tyrone & Mina were all knocked out of the competition.

The overall winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2017 gets a slot at the Royal Variety Performance later this year and a career-enhancing £250,000 prize. Not bad, eh?

The next live semi-final will air tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
