Britain's Got Talent: The Champions: Dramatic first look trailer confirms line-up and start date for new series

The line-up for new show Britain's Got Talent: The Champions has been unveiled in a first look trailer.

The teaser clip aired on Good Morning Britain this morning and confirmed the return of memorable acts including Stavros Flatley, Ashley Butler and this year’s winner Colin Thackery.

Previous winners including Paul Potts. Lost Voice Guy and George Sampson are set to appear on the ITV show, along with international names like America’s Got Talent ventriloquist Paul Zerdin.

Magician Ben Hart and dancers Twist and Pulse and Collabro will also be taking part.

“Over six weeks the best of British will be taking on the world,” the trailer promises, before asking: “Who will be crowned the ultimate champion?”

Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams will return to the judging panel, with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly back as presenters.

The series is set to begin on August 31. Two acts from each episode will go through to the grand finale, the first chosen by the judges or Ant and Dec and the second by fans.

The series was filmed at Wembley Arena last month.

"Over the last 13 years we've witnessed truly incredible talent take to the Britain's Got Talent stage and now they'll go head to head with the best Got Talent acts from around the world, in what promises to be the Olympics of Talent," producers said.

Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions begins on ITV on August 31.
