BGT: Simon Cowell reportedly gives Beijing dancers and Sian Patterson the boot

Earlier this month, Britain’s Got Talent was caught up in a cheating storm when it was revealed that a number of the show’s acts were, in fact, professional stage stars and dancers who had already enjoyed glittering showbiz careers.

Simon Cowell has now reportedly rooted out the fraudsters and axed the contestants who have already had a crack at stardom.

Acrobatic dancers Gao Lin and Liu Xin from Beijing are one of the acts who have reportedly been given the chop, after it was revealed to the nation that they made a name for themselves on Asia’s Got Talent.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “A lot of the acts who are in the semi-finals are genuine performers looking for their first break rather ‘Second Chance Charlies’.”

The 57-year-old show creator has also put an end to the dreams of Sian Patterson, who belted out a showstopping rendition of Ghost: The Musical’s ‘With You’, getting four yeses from Simon Cowell and co.

It’s believed Sian was told to leave after she was exposed as a professional singer, while contortion group, Angara Contortion, have been shown the door because they’re part of Cirque de Soleil.

And the final act to be eliminated from the competition is razor-blade wizard TanBA, from Japan, after it became known that he’s a professional magician.

A Britain’s Got Talent spokesperson previuosly said in a statement: “Anyone can apply for BGT irrespective of their past experience and all contestants are auditioned on merit.”
