Britain's Got Talent: Stage invader shocks Amanda Holden during live semi-final

A stage invader gave judge Amanda Holden the shock of her life during last night’s live Britain’s Got Talent semi-final.

This week sees nightly episodes of the talent show as it leads up to the grand final at the weekend, with Declan Donnelly presenting this series of the programme without his usual hosting partner Ant McPartlin, after the latter’s drink driving arrest and conviction.

As the four judges – Amanda, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams – addressed Dutch contestants Magus Utopia after their performance, someone from the audience randomly ran up to the stage and proceeded to press three of the four buzzers.

Both Amanda and Alesha appeared shocked, with the former letting out a scream, before Simon announced it was ‘one of those nights’, as the audience laughed in disbelief.

The cameras mostly cut away from the incident, as the trigger-happy buzzer basher was escorted away.

Host Dec also joked about it being ‘another quiet night’, after Monday saw a powercut, taking the show off-air for around 15 minutes.

‘Apologies about our unwanted guest. Some people just can’t keep their hands off our buzzers!’ Dec quipped.

An ITV spokesperson said: ‘A member of the audience ran up and pressed the judges’ buzzers at the end of Magus Utopia’s act. The man was quickly apprehended by security and removed from the building.’

Catch BGT each night this week for the semi-finals at 7.30pm and 9.30pm, and over the weekend for the grand final, on ITV1.
