Britain's Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas has found herself in the centre of 'favouritism' row after her win in Sunday's final, with viewers arguing she was given a clear advantage over her rivals.

It was back in episode one of the new series of BGT, that millions saw singer Sydnie get the Golden Buzzer from Amanda Holden, after the ITV judge was blown away by her rendition of Tomorrow from Annie. Amanda's move gave Sydnie a guaranteed spot in the live semis, with her seen earlier this week in the third heat, which saw her perform My Way and end up topping the public vote.

In her semi, Sydnie was given what Britain's Got Talent fans described as 'pimp slot' of getting to perform last and it was the same again in the BGT final, with her bringing the curtain down on the show at the Hammersmith Apollo. With voting lines not opening until after all 11 acts had been on stage and no recap of any of the performance, it meant Sydnie's would be the freshest in the minds of those watching at home.

And some critics believe that, after having the same treatment on Wednesday, that was a deliberate move by BGT bosses. Taking to X, one blasted: "So Sydnie Christmas goes on last, just to stay fresh in voters minds? It was obviously going to be her, the whole thing's fixed for Cowell to make a mint from these supposed amateurs. I personally loved the singing impersonator, at least he had variety."

Also sceptical about the result, a second posted: "Sydnie performed last and won, this show is FIXED Jack Rhodes was Robbed Terrible result" and another reacted: "once again sydnie christmas went last ,which is usual format of who they want to win,so u forget the others ,bloody fix as usual"
