Ant McPartlin has revealed to millions of viewers that three of the Britain's Got Talent judges have yet to get his new baby son a gift, after Simon Cowell called a brief halt to Monday's show to congratulate the host on becoming a dad.

Mere days after he stepped out with best mate and BGT presenting partner in crime Dec Donnelly for this year's BAFTA TV Awards, Ant was by wife Anne-Marie's side as she gave birth to their baby son - Wilder Patrick McPartlin. And the delighted Britain's Got Talent presenter was the one to break the big news on social media.

Taking to his and Dec's joint Instagram account, Ant wrote: "Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick McPartlin.. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!"

Given that the BGT auditions were recorded months ago, Ant didn't need to take any time off the show after the birth and was back alongside Dec as the first semi final aired live to the nation on Monday evening. It didn't take Simon long to mention Ant's baby, as he paused things to say: "By the way, can I just say congratulations to you Ant. I really am happy."

Responding to Simon, Ant replied: "Thank you and thank you for your lovely gift," before throwing the rest of the panel under the bus, as he added: "Judges...still waiting on yours." Trying to defend them, Simon then interrupted: "It was from all of us," but, having none of it, Ant retorted: "Ok, yeah, it was signed by you, not them," as he then steered the topic of conversation away from him and back to the auditions.

There was vested interest in semi final one for and Ant and Dec as their Golden Buzzer act, martial art acrobats Ssaulabi, were one of acts acts on the line-up, as they aimd to secure a place in Sunday's grand final.
