Dec Donnelly forced a 'vote change' on Saturday's Britain's Got Talent, as he stormed the stage and managed to get Alesha Dixon to change her mind, just as it looked like one particular act's time on the show was coming to an abrupt end.

Just as they have done since the show launched on ITV back in 2007, Ant and Dec are back at the helm as hosts for the new series, which kicked off last month and is now hurtling towards its conclusion, with the live semi finals starting on Monday and the grand finale now just a week away.

The final audition shows of this year are airing across this weekend and the first of those attracted an audience of millions on Saturday, with one of the first hopefuls on stage being Robert from Derby, who told the panel he was there to win, before launching it a real bizarre rap about libraries, that took everyone by surprise.

After all of the Britain's Got Talent judges had given Robert their feedback, it came down to the crunch on whether he was getting a Yes or a No from each of them and, starting on a negative, Simon Cowell told him: "Very nice to meet you but no," before Amanda and Bruno voted in his favour, meaning his fate then rested on the shoulders of former Mis-Teeq member and Strictly winner Alesha.

Telling Robert, "I quite enjoyed it but I don't know if I want to hear it again," it looked like she was about to put the nail in the coffin of Robert's chances, until Dec then rushed onto stage from the wings and pleaded with her to change her mind, just as the audience did the same. And Dec's efforts weren't in vein, as, after she remarked: "Don't do that Dec, because when you do that, you make me do things like this...OK yes!"
