Last night, we were all left totally amazed and a little bit emotional when Chinese dance duo Gao Lin and Liu Xin graced the Britain’s Got Talent stage.
The loved up couple performed a mesmerising routine for the judges and studio audience, easily securing themselves a spot in the next stage of the competition.
However, it has now been revealed that this is far from Gao and Liu’s first venture into the world of ‘Got Talent’, with the duo previously getting engaged on the Asian version of the show.
And that’s not the only thing that made their stint on Asia’s Got Talent something to remember…
Auditioning back in 2015, the pair were first of all left speechless when Asia’s Got Talent judge Mel C pressed the golden buzzer following their first performance – sending them straight through to the live semi finals.
Then, during the live finals, Gao stunned everybody when he proposed immediately after their performance.
Receiving their critique from the judges, Gao told everybody that he had something that he wanted to ask Liu, turning to her and sharing: “Liu Xin, we have been together through thick and thin.
“I would like to take this opportunity on stage to ask you a question.”
He then got down on one knee, presented a ring and popped the question, with an emotional Liu bursting into tears as she accepted.
The judges were also overcome with emotion as they stood up to cheer and congratulate the newly engaged couple.
Unfortunately, Gao and Liu didn’t win Asia’s Got Talent, losing out to Philippine shadow theatre troupe El Gamma Penumbra – perhaps they will be a little bit luckier this time around.
