British Grand Prix: Race start time UK, qualifying, sprint results and how can I watch F1 for FREE on TV?

A captivating F1 season reaches its 10th race this afternoon as Lewis Hamilton looks to get back to winning ways at the British Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen would love to spoil the homecoming and will start from pole position after winning the first ever F1 sprint qualifying race on Saturday.

For the first time, qualifying was on Friday night to decide the starting grid for Saturday’s 17-lap 100km race to decide the grand prix grid, with points up for grabs.

And a poor start from Hamilton allowed Verstappen to get the jump on his title rival off the line and the Red Bull driver led comfortably to the end of the dash.

Verstappen finished 1.4 seconds ahead of Hamilton to extend his championship lead by a point to 33.

Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas finished in third ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and British driver Lando Norris in his McLaren.
