The new 2021 British and Irish Lions kit has arrived.

Warren Gatland's Lions are due to tour South Africa next July and August next year and with only nine months to go, kit makers Canterbury have revealed what the players will be wearing.

The adult version will set you back £75, while the junior jersey will cost £55.

Warren Gatland, British & Irish Lions Head Coach, says of the new kit: “The jersey looks awesome and I think Lions supporters, as well as the players, are going to love it too. Canterbury, as we have become accustomed to, have done a great job yet again.

“Some of the best experiences I’ve had as a Lions coach have been looking out across a stadium ahead of a match and seeing a ‘Sea of Red’ Lions jerseys.

"Literally entire stands turned red; it’s an incredible thing to witness and creates an atmosphere that is truly unique to the Lions.”

Vodafone become main shirt sponsors for the first time and are only the sixth shirt sponsor in the Lions' history, following Scottish Provident (1997), NTL (2001), Zurich (2005), HSBC (2009 and 2013) and Standard Life Investments (2017).

Talks are ongoing for both the Lions and South Africa to be followed in a documentary series, the first of its kind on a Lions tour following both teams, with talks taking place with both Netflix and Amazon Prime.

The Lions will warm up for the tour to South Africa with a fixture against Japan at Murrayfield, although a major issue with their preparations is that Premiership Rugby are refusing to release English-based players for the warm-up fixture.
